Turn Your Photos Into (digital) Fans!

If you would like to create special effects without plug-ins or following tedious tutorials, you’ll want to explore Adobe Photoshop’s Actions palette. Actions are simply a set of instructions that direct the program to produce a desired effect. They are cross-platform and whether in Mac OS or Windows form, all Action files use the .ATN extension.

The PanosFX Fan is a set of free Photoshop actions will turn your photos into hand-held fans, with beautiful details. The set contains three actions that create these fan types:

  • Traditional
  • Rice-paper
  • Wooden

The traditional fan action replicates the look of an oriental fan with 15 slats. You can replace the photo (in the Photoshop version) after the action finishes.

The fans created by the ‘Rice-paper’ and ‘Wooden’ actions have 19 slats; each slat is an individual layer, allowing you to animate the individual slats using Photoshop CC & CS6.

System requirements:

  • Windows 10, 8, 7, (64 & 32 bit)
  • Mac OS X
  • Photoshop CC-2015, CS6, CS5, CS4
  • Photoshop Elements 13, 12, 11

Elements 14 is not supported because this version has a bug that affects these actions. The bug has been reported to Adobe and will hopefully be fixed soon.
