Today’s Post by Joe Farace
On January 1, I announced via my Instagram feed—if you’re not following me there please do It’s @joefarace—that I was taking a hiatus from blogging to focus on my personal photography. That hiatus has ended and while I’ve started blogging again, it will be somewhere else and with some differences.
- After today there will be no new posts added to this blog and URL. This site will remain on-line as an archive of six year’s worth of posts as long as I can afford to maintain it and I don’t know how long that will be.
- I’ll no longer be Editor or contributor to the Mirrorless Photo Tips blog. That blog will no longer be updated and, for the time being, will serve as an archive of mirrorless camera posts.
- Next week I will relaunch my car photography blog with new emphasis on the world of cars and car shows as well as car photography.
- Today I am launching a new blog that will be an integral part of my website and will be adding an increasing focus on mirrorless photography. Just go there and click Blog or click this link.
My new blog will retain some of the previous version’s how-to focus but will also be more personal, including addressing trends within the photography world as well as the photo industry. The new blog will introduce you to cameras, lenses or accessories that I actually own and use, not just a product some PR person told me is great.
Much like the old blog, the new one will not be a regurgitation of press releases or me acting as a paid (or unpaid) stenographer for PR agencies or the marketing departments of camera and lens companies. This is something that I’ve written about previously and you can read about it in, “Why I’m Not a Decision Influencer” while the Mirrorless Photo Tips blog is still on-line.
I hope you enjoy what you find on the new blog and many thanks for all your support over the past years.
