New Items Added in Garage Sale

“Surprise is the greatest gift which life can grant us.”—Boris Pasternak

We just added a some new items to the Garage Sale section of the blog, just in time for some holiday gift shopping.

Just as it’s name implies, this new section of the blog is a place where I’ll be selling unused or unneeded equipment. Instead of taking a chance on buying camera gear from strangers on eBay or Craig’s List, I’ll be posting gear for sale at fair prices that will be available for purchase via shipping by USPS/FedEx for people outside Colorado or via face-to-face pickup for those within the state.

And I’ll got the extra step of providing all kinds of information, not only on condition but also on important data such as shutter actuations, including using special software to extract it from Canon EOS cameras.

For Sale: Lightly and carefully used Canon 420EX Speedlight. Includes original box, instruction manual, and stand. The 420EX is fully E-TTL-compatible, and reverts to standard TTL operation when used on older EOS bodies. The fully swiveling bounce head zooms automatically over a range of 24mm-105mm. Wireless E-TTL compatibility permits it to function as a “slave” unit, triggered by a 550EX; ST-E2, or MR-14EX. Photographs are of actual speedlight. $40 plus shipping. If you live in Colorado pickup can be arranged at a convenient Starbucks.

For Sale: Lightly and carefully used Canon 220EX Speedlight. Includes case, original box and instruction manual, $25 plus shipping. Package Deal: Purchase the 420EX speedlight along with the 220EX for a total of $60 with free shipping and I will include a bonus of a Sto-Fen diffuser kit that includes three diffusers: soft white, green (for use with FL lighting) and yellow (for use with tungsten lighting.)

For Sale: One Canon EF 22-55mm USM lens has nine elements in nine groups and uses 58mm filters. It is in EXC+ to LN condition and will focus as close as 13.8-inches. It’s a great alternative to the EF-S 18-55mm kit lens and includes front and rear caps as well as EW-60D lens hood, itself a $26 value. The lens has USM so it focuses fast and it’s an inexpensive lens that works with any EOS DSLR, including the 5D. The lens will be delivered in the original box with original instruction sheet. There’s even a Flickr group dedicated to this lens and I’ve made lots of great photos with it as well. These lenses sell for more than the asking price and don’t include the lens hood. $45 plus shipping.

Be sure to check Garage Sale on a weekly basis to check out any new gear that gets posted for sale.
