Neo LED Light from Rotolight

Regular readers of this blog, know that I really like Rotolight’s LED lighting products, especially the versatile RL-48N, which I’ve written about using here and here. Since its photokina week, I want to include some of the new products launched this week, starting with Rotolight’s NEO. I hope to have an early production version in my hands-on to show some hands-on usage.

Neo1NEO features Bi-Color LED lighting that delivers 1077 lux at 3 feet (more about Lux here), while providing a soft light from a battery-powered source.

NEO’s 120 LED’s offer full spectrum color reproduction with an overall CRI=95 (Skin tone>98) and can be accurately dialed in from 3150K to 6300K in ten degree Kelvin steps. Featuring an dual rotary encoder control system for rapid brightness and color temperature adjustment and Rotolight’s ‘Dynamic Drift Compensation’ for smooth dimming from 0%-100% with no color shift. Neo can be powered by six AA batteries for up to 5 hours or three hours at full power. It also works with a AC adapter or D-TAP cable, drawing only 9W at full power.
