“Christmas is the spirit of giving without a thought of getting. It is happiness because we see joy in people. It is forgetting self and finding time for others. It is discarding the meaningless and stressing the true values.”— Thomas S. Monson
Last year during the holidays, Mary and I were walking around Parker Colorado’s O’Brien Park and taking pictures of the park’s gazebo that was decorated and lit up for Christmas.
While we were shooting these pictures a young couple (above) comes up and asks us to take their photograph in the gazebo. They said they had just come from the hospital visiting one of the parents who was quite ill and they wanted to give them a picture of the two of them in the park. Naturally we did and the above is one of the photographs that I made of them that night.
My point being that during the holidays, your photographs can be a gift for others, which just so happens to be the theme of a previous holiday blog post. I hope that you have time to read it, even if it’s after the holidays because I think that the message is applicable any time during the year,
