In the past, I have always cringed at the words digital zoom. Every time that I tried it on a point-and-shoot camera with their small sensors it didn’t work very well.
Now that cameras like the Panasonic Lumix FZ1000 and Sony RX10 have larger one-inch sensors I think that Intelligent and digital zoom are ready for prime time.
In the below video I explain how to set up and use these zoom functions and show examples.
